Three ways to get connected at home
Which one you get depends on your street, not on your budget. Staff at the kiosk check your address against the coverage map before you pay anything.
Fibre
Uncapped, unshaped fibre over Vodacom and Massiv open-access networks. Best option if a line already passes your property. Speeds from 20 Mbps to 200 Mbps, upgraded or downgraded month to month.

A router that connects over the mobile network — no trenching, no landlord permission, working the same day you take it home. The practical answer in most townships and peri-urban areas.

If the signal at your house is not good enough for fixed wireless, the kiosk will tell you before you sign, and you can return the router within seven days for a full refund.
Konekta community hotspots
A thousand sites across the ZCC network and public facilities, so that a household without a router still has somewhere reliable to get online.
How it works
Connect to the Konekta network on any phone, laptop or tablet. Basic access — messaging, school portals, government services and job sites — is free. For heavy use, a day pass unlocks uncapped browsing at R5 a day for Z-Connect subscribers and R10 for everyone else.
Where the sites go
Church branches first, then clinics, schools, libraries and community halls, prioritised by how far residents currently travel for a signal. Each site carries the name of the facility hosting it, and the host earns a share of day-pass revenue.
Getting installed
The order below is deliberate: nothing is charged until the coverage check passes.
Coverage check
Give your address at a kiosk, on WhatsApp or in the app. You get a straight answer: fibre, fixed wireless, or hotspot for now.
Choose line and router
Pick a speed and decide whether to buy the router outright or pay it off monthly from your wallet.
Install
Fixed wireless works the day you take it home. Fibre installation is booked with the network partner, usually within ten working days.
Faults and support
Log a fault on WhatsApp, USSD or at the kiosk. Line faults go to the network partner with a reference you can track; router problems are handled at the kiosk.
Home internet and mobile on one account is cheaper than buying them apart.
