Beta from December 2026. Full launch February 2027.

Five things Z-Connect does

Everything runs off one identity and one wallet, so your SIM, your router at home, your instalment and your cover all sit in the same place.

Z-Connect Money

Rewards

Z-Rewards pays you back for staying — airtime and data back on recharges, on paying your instalment on time, and on bringing in family.

How Z-Rewards works

Built for how people actually buy

Most of our members buy in small amounts, close to home, in cash. The network is designed around that rather than around a debit order.

Small amounts, any day

Airtime and data from R5, hourly and daily bundles, and no penalty for topping up in bits and pieces. Your bundle balance and your wallet balance are visible in the same screen.

Prepaid

Cash in, digital out

Put cash into your wallet at a church branch, a Z-Connect kiosk or an agent, then spend it on airtime, data, your instalment, your cover, electricity or a bus ticket.

Wallet

A person you can find

Every area has named agents with a territory. If something goes wrong with your SIM, your router or your instalment, you can go back to the same person.

Agents

Works on any phone

App and WhatsApp for smartphones, USSD for feature phones. Nothing important is locked behind having the latest handset.

All devices

One household, one plan

The share plan puts up to five SIMs on one data balance with a parent in control of the split — cheaper than five separate prepaid lines.

Household

Where to buy

Z-Connect is sold through the places our members already go, not only through a website. At launch there are five ways to get a SIM or load your wallet.

Church branches

Roughly 1 000 ZCC branches carry SIMs, RICA registration and wallet cash-in on service days.

Nationwide

Fixed kiosks

104 staffed kiosks handle SIM swaps, device collections, instalment payments and claims.

104 sites

Roaming agents

16 roaming locations with 160 handheld devices reach communities without a fixed kiosk.

Mobile teams

Retail partners

Independent spaza shops and retail partners sell starter packs, airtime and vouchers.

Local shops

App, WhatsApp and USSD

Buy bundles, check balances, pay your instalment and claim on cover without leaving the house.

Digital

Coverage runs on Vodacom’s national network, with Massiv and Vodacom fibre for homes and a secondary 5G partner for fixed-wireless. You keep national coverage; the service, the price and the wallet are Z-Connect’s.

Getting connected

From walking into a branch to using the wallet takes about fifteen minutes, most of it spent on RICA.

Bring your ID

A South African ID or passport and proof of address. Branch and kiosk staff do RICA and the light FICA check on the spot.

Pick a SIM or port your number

Take a new number or bring your existing one across. Porting keeps your number; it usually completes within a working day.

Open your wallet

Your wallet opens with the SIM, in your name, with a card you can order. Load cash at the same counter.

Add what you need

A bundle, a phone on instalment, home internet, cover for the family — added to the same account, paid from the same wallet.

The base we are starting from

Common questions

If yours is not here, ask at a branch or write to info@z-connect.co.za.

Whose network does Z-Connect run on?

Vodacom. Z-Connect is a mobile virtual network operator: we run the brand, the pricing, the app, the wallet and the service, and we buy voice, SMS and data wholesale from Vodacom so you get national coverage from day one.

Can I keep my number?

Yes. Bring your SIM and ID to a branch or kiosk and ask to port. Your number moves across; your old operator cannot hold it back for an unpaid prepaid balance.

Do I need a bank account?

No. The wallet is a licensed transactional account opened with your SIM, and you can load it with cash at any branch, kiosk or agent.

What does an advance cost?

Advances carry a fixed service fee disclosed before you accept, not a compounding interest rate. You see the total you will repay, and the repayment comes off your next wallet load.

When can I actually sign up?

Beta runs from December 2026 with ZCC members and staff. Full commercial launch is February 2027 across branches, kiosks, agents and digital channels.

Tell us where you are and we will tell you when we open near you.

Leave your details at any ZCC branch or kiosk, or write to us and we will let you know which channel opens first in your area.
